The Atlantis Hotel is located on the Palm Jumeirah. Atlantis is a fictional island mentioned in the works of the ancient Greek philosopher Plato. It was considered a highly civilized nation. However, due to the arrogance of the people, Atlantis fell out of favor with the gods and sank to the bottom of the sea due to earthquakes and floods.
